Job Description

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain Linux servers in production, staging, and development environments.
• Provide Level 3 support for complex Linux system issues.
• Perform system monitoring, performance tuning, and capacity planning.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and security policies.
• Troubleshoot OS, networking, storage, and application issues.
• Implement patch management, upgrades, and security hardening.
• Automate repetitive tasks using Shell scripting, Python, or Ansible.
• Manage backup and disaster recovery solutions.
• Work with DevOps teams for CI/CD pipeline support and deployments.
• Maintain system documentation and standard operating procedures.
• Participate in on-call support and incident management.

Required Skills

• 6+ years of experience in Linux administration.
• Strong expertise in Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), CentOS, or Ubuntu.
• Experience with system performance tuning and troubleshooting.
• Strong knowledge of Linux commands, file systems, and process management.
• Experience with LVM, RAID, and storage management.
• Knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, NFS, SSH).
• Experience with automation tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
• Strong Shell scripting / Bash scripting skills.
• Experience with monitoring tools (Nagios, Zabbix, Prometheus, Grafana).
• Familiarity with virtualization platforms (VMware, KVM).
