Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the architecture, design, and development of ColdFusion applications.
  • Analyze legacy ColdFusion applications and plan migration to newer versions or alternative platforms.
  • Provide expert-level troubleshooting and performance tuning of ColdFusion applications.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and integrate with third-party services.
  • Ensure code quality through code reviews, testing, and adherence to development standards.
  • Mentor junior developers and provide guidance on ColdFusion best practices.
  • Document technical specifications, workflows, and deployment processes.
  • Support ColdFusion server deployments and operational tasks.
  • Stay updated with ColdFusion updates, security patches, and industry trends.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • 7+ years of experience in ColdFusion development (CFML), including ColdFusion 9 and above.
  • Strong understanding of MVC frameworks (e.g., ColdBox, Fusebox).
  • Proficiency in SQL Server and writing complex queries, stored procedures, and views.
  • Experience with front-end technologies: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, Bootstrap.
  • Familiarity with version control systems (Git) and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitLab).
  • Knowledge of security best practices (e.g., preventing SQL injection, XSS).
  • Experience with API documentation tools like Swagger/OpenAPI.
