Job Description

"Key Responsibilities:
1. Development & Enhancements: 
•    Develop, customize, and enhance SAP ABAP programs (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms, and Workflows - RICEFW).
•    Work on user exits, BAdIs (Business Add-Ins), enhancement frameworks, and implicit/explicit enhancements. 
•    Modify standard SAP programs as per business requirements while following best practices. 
•    Develop Smart Forms, Adobe Forms, ALV Reports, and OOPS ABAP programs. 
2. Bug Fixes & Debugging: 
•    Analyze and resolve production support issues, defects, and bugs in existing ABAP programs. 
•    Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and provide permanent fixes for recurring issues.
•    Debug complex ABAP programs to identify performance bottlenecks and optimize code. 

3. Integration & Interfaces: 
•    Develop and maintain IDOCs, RFCs, BAPIs, and Proxy interfaces for SAP and non-SAP system integrations. 
•    Work on EDI, ALE, and PI/PO integrations for seamless data exchange.
•    Troubleshoot and fix issues related to inbound/outbound interfaces. 
4. Performance Optimization & Code Review: 
•    Identify and optimize long-running ABAP programs, SQL queries, and database operations.
•    Conduct code reviews to ensure compliance with SAP best practices and performance standards. 
•    Implement memory management techniques to improve system efficiency.
5. Support & Documentation: 
•    Provide L2/L3 support for SAP ABAP-related issues in an AMS environment.
•    Maintain proper technical documentation for developments, enhancements, and bug fixes. 
•    Collaborate with functional consultants (MM, SD, FI, PP, etc.) to understand business requirements. 
6. Upgrades & S/4HANA Readiness: 
•    Assist in SAP ECC to S/4HANA migration activities, including code remediation.
•    Identify and fix obsolete ABAP syntax for compatibility with newer SAP versions. 
Required Skills & Qualifications: 
•    5-8 years of hands-on SAP ABAP development experience in AMS projects. 
•    Strong expertise in ABAP OOPS, ALV, BAPIs, BADIs, User Exits, and Enhancement Framework. 
•    Experience with Smart Forms, Adobe Forms, SAP Script, and Web Dynpro ABAP. 
•    Knowledge of IDOCs, RFC, ALE, EDI, and PI/PO integrations. 
•    Debugging and performance tuning skills. 
•    Exposure to SAP Fiori, CDS Views, and OData services (preferred). 
•    Basic understanding of SAP modules (MM, SD, FI, PP). 
•    Experience in S/4HANA migration or AMS support is a plus. 
•    Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. 
•    Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Certifications: 
•    SAP Certified Development Associate - ABAP with SAP NetWeaver
•    SAP S/4HANA ABAP certification (optional)"
