Job Description
Key Responsibilities
Provide L2 support for enterprise email security platforms and resolve escalated incidents from L1 teams.
Monitor and manage email security gateways and threat protection systems.
Investigate and respond to phishing, spam, malware, and email-based security incidents.
Configure and manage email filtering policies, anti-spam, anti-malware, and data loss prevention (DLP) rules.
Perform email threat analysis, quarantine management, and message tracing.
Implement and maintain email authentication protocols such as SPF, DKIM, and DMARC.
Support and manage secure email gateways and cloud email security solutions.
Work closely with SOC, network, and security teams to mitigate email threats.
Maintain documentation and standard operating procedures for email security operations.
Participate in incident response and security investigations.
Required Skills
Experience with email security platforms such as Proofpoint, Mimecast, Cisco Secure Email, Microsoft Defender for Office 365, or Symantec Email Security.
Strong knowledge of email protocols (SMTP, POP3, IMAP).
Hands-on experience with phishing analysis and malware investigation.
Knowledge of SPF, DKIM, DMARC, and email authentication mechanisms.
Experience in email gateway management and policy configuration.
Understanding of basic networking and security concepts.
