Job Description

Role Overview

The Systems Administrator (Windows & VMware) is responsible for the end-to-end design, implementation, and maintenance of enterprise-grade compute environments. This role ensures high availability of Windows Server infrastructure and virtualization platforms (VMware and/or OpenShift) while managing hybrid identity and automation workflows for an EPC managed services engagement.

• Architecture & Implementation: Design and deploy Windows Server environments and virtualization clusters (VMware ESXi and/or OpenShift, Hyper-V, or Nutanix).
• Storage & File Services: Manage complex file storage structures including CIFS, DFS, Nasuni, and granular ACL management using Robocopy.
• Hybrid Identity: Administer Hybrid AD and Entra ID (formerly Azure AD) environments, ensuring seamless synchronization and access control.
• Automation & Scripting: Develop and maintain automation playbooks using PowerShell and Ansible to streamline infrastructure deployments and patching.
• Cloud Operations: Manage VM infrastructure across public cloud platforms (Azure, OCI, or GCP), including Azure Arc integration for hybrid management.
• Exchange Administration: Oversee messaging infrastructure and mailbox management within the enterprise ecosystem.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Primary Tech: Deep expertise in Windows Server OS and Virtualization (VMware/OpenShift) troubleshooting and performance tuning.
• Secondary Tech: Proficiency in alternative hypervisors (Nutanix/Hyper-V) and enterprise file migration tools.
• Cloud Experience: Hands-on experience in at least one major cloud provider (Azure, Oracle, or Google Cloud).
  
  • L2: 4-7 years in infrastructure support and implementation.
