Senior Architect

The Mobile Android Architect is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable, secure, and high-performance Android mobile applications. This role defines architecture standards, ensures best practices, and provides technical leadership to Android development teams while aligning solutions with business and product requirements.

Key Responsibilities
Architecture & Design

Define and implement scalable, maintainable, and secure Android application architecture.

Design reusable frameworks, components, and libraries for Android applications.

Establish coding standards, design patterns, and best practices.

Lead architecture discussions, technical decisions, and solution design reviews.

Ensure performance optimization, responsiveness, and reliability of mobile apps.

Technical Leadership

Provide technical guidance and mentorship to Android developers.

Conduct code reviews and enforce development standards.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product, QA, DevOps, and UI/UX.

Evaluate and recommend new tools, technologies, and frameworks.

Resolve complex technical challenges and architectural issues.

Development & Integration

Lead development of advanced Android applications using modern frameworks.

Integrate applications with backend services, APIs, and third-party systems.

Ensure secure authentication, data protection, and compliance standards.

Implement CI/CD pipelines and automation for mobile delivery.

Performance & Quality

Optimize application performance, scalability, and memory usage.

Ensure application security, reliability, and availability.

Monitor application health and resolve production issues.

Implement testing strategies including unit, integration, and UI testing.

Required Technical Skills
Core Android

Strong expertise in Android SDK, Android Studio, and Android architecture

Proficiency in Kotlin and Java

Experience with Jetpack components (ViewModel, LiveData, Navigation, Room)

Knowledge of MVVM, MVP, Clean Architecture

Mobile Architecture & Tools

Experience designing enterprise-level mobile architectures

REST APIs, JSON, and API integration

Dependency injection frameworks (Dagger/Hilt/Koin)

Performance tuning and memory optimization

CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps)

Security & Integration

Mobile security best practices

Authentication (OAuth, JWT, biometrics)

Secure data storage and encryption

Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)

Experience Requirements

10+ years of overall software development experience

7+ years of Android development experience

3+ years in technical architect or technical lead role
