Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

1. Advanced Incident & Problem Management

· Act as escalation point for critical Coupa issues (procurement, invoicing, approvals, integrations)

· Conduct deep-dive root cause analysis (RCA) and implement permanent solutions for recurring problems

· Develop preventive maintenance strategies to reduce ticket volumes

2. Complex Enhancements & Process Optimization

· Lead medium-scale Coupa implementations including:

o Advanced workflow automation (multi-level approvals, conditional routing)

o Custom integrations with SAP S/4HANA, Ariba, and legacy systems

o AI/ML implementations (Smart Invoice, predictive analytics)

· Design and implement Coupa reporting solutions (Advanced Analytics, custom dashboards)

· Optimize supplier onboarding and catalog management processes

3. System Governance & Technical Leadership

· Perform Coupa health checks and recommend system optimizations

· Oversee Coupa version upgrades, patches, and regression testing

· Establish and enforce Coupa best practices and governance frameworks

· Mentor junior team members on complex configurations and troubleshooting

4. Integration & Technical Expertise

· Architect and troubleshoot complex integrations (CIF, Dell Boomi, MuleSoft, CPI)

· Develop and maintain integration documentation and data flow diagrams

· Implement monitoring solutions for Coupa-SAP interfaces

· Design, configure, and maintain integrations between Coupa and SAP modules (MM, FI, S/4HANA) ensuring seamless Procure-to-Pay (P2P) and Invoicing processes.

· Collaborate with SAP functional teams to align Coupa workflows with SAP purchasing, inventory, and financial processes.

· Implement and support integrations with external systems such as Ariba, Concur, and supplier networks.

· Ensure compatibility and data consistency across ERP, procurement, and expense management platforms.

5. Continuous Improvement & Innovation

· Identify opportunities for process automation (RPA, AI-driven approvals)

· Lead Coupa community of practice to share knowledge and best practices

· Evaluate and recommend new Coupa modules/features for business adoption

· Monitor and optimize integration performance, error handling, and data synchronization.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

· 5-8 years of hands-on Coupa experience with 3+ years in AMS/production support

· Expert-level knowledge in:

o Coupa Procurement (advanced configurations, guided buying)

o Coupa Invoicing (complex matching rules, payment workflows)

o Supplier Management (dynamic discounting, supplier portal)

o Expense Management (policy enforcement, integrations)

· Proven experience with:

o Coupa-SAP integrations (CIF, IDOCs, OData services)

o Middleware technologies (Dell Boomi, MuleSoft, CPI)

o Coupa API framework and extensions

· Strong understanding of:

o ITIL framework (especially Problem and Change Management)

o SOX controls and audit compliance

· Excellent stakeholder management and presentation skill
