Job Description

"Key Responsibilities: 
1. Development & Enhancements: 

Develop, modify, and debug SAP ABAP programs (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms, and Workflows – RICEFW).  

Work on user exits, BAdIs, enhancement spots, and implicit/explicit enhancements to meet business requirements.  

Develop Smart Forms, Adobe Forms, and SAP Scripts for printing and output management. 

Create and modify ALV reports, dialog programs, and transaction codes as per business needs.  

2. Bug Fixes & Incident Resolution  

Analyze and resolve production support issues related to SAP ABAP programs. 

Debug and troubleshoot issues in existing programs, interfaces, and workflows.  

Provide timely fixes for defects reported by end-users in an AMS environment.  

3. Interface & Integration Support: 

Develop and maintain RFC, BAPI, IDoc, and Proxy-based interfaces between SAP and external systems.  

Work on OData services, CDS views, and REST APIs for SAP Fiori and other integration scenarios. 

Monitor and fix issues related to EDI, ALE, and PI/PO integrations. 

4. Data Migration & Conversions: 

Develop and support LSMW, BDC, and Direct Input programs for data uploads.  

Write SQL queries and optimize data extraction logic for performance. 

5. Performance Optimization:  

Analyze and optimize ABAP code for better performance (e.g., avoiding nested loops, using buffering, proper indexing).  

Review and refactor legacy code to improve efficiency.  

6. Documentation & Compliance:  

Maintain technical documentation for developments, enhancements, and bug fixes.  

Follow SAP best practices, coding standards, and change management processes.  

7. Collaboration & Support: 

Work closely with functional consultants (MM, SD, FI, PP, etc.) to understand requirements. 

Provide technical support during testing (Unit Testing, Integration Testing, UAT).  

Assist in knowledge transfer and training for end-users. 

Required Skills & Qualifications:  

1-3 years of hands-on experience in SAP ABAP development, preferably in an AMS (Application Management Services) environment. 

Strong knowledge of ABAP OOPS, modularization techniques, and debugging.  

Experience with enhancements (User Exits, BAdIs, Enhancement Framework).  

Familiarity with SAP Fiori, OData, and CDS views is a plus.  

Exposure to SAP S/4HANA (optional but preferred).  

Basic understanding of SAP modules (MM, SD, FI, PP) and their integration points.  

Ability to work in a support-driven environment with SLA-based ticket resolution.  

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.  

Preferred Certifications (Not Mandatory): 

SAP Certified Development Associate – ABAP with SAP NetWeaver 

SAP ABAP on HANA (Optional)..
